White things on Brown star Polyp

I have a brown star polyp. And i have white tubes growing all over it, they have 2 hairs growning out. I think they might be some type of worm. But are they harmfull to the brown star polyp? Should i get rid of them ? If so, how? Or are they safe to leave ?

Just a guess without a pic, but I would venture to guess, spionid worms....
