Hello,
We've had our two male red wagtails swordtails for a couple of months and their "sword"tail has quadrupled in size. Yesterday, I noticed that the very tip of one of their swords was white. It is maybe just 1.2mm of the tip, with no disruption of the lines of the tail and does not appear to be a growth- but just a white tip. I am not sure if this is new- although I look at them every day and never noticed it before. He is not sick acting and is still swimming all around acting perfectly normal. I also noticed that the rostral dorsum of his body has some dusky black spots. Again, not sure if this is normal for him or not. His friend does not have the white tip and does not really have the spots. Thoughts?
PS i took a few photos, but the white isn't obvious enough to show up in photos.... He is the bottom swordtail in the pic
