who would be a good tankmate?

I have an itch to add someone new to my group. I have a 29gal planted tank with 5 Tiger Barbs, 10 Black Neons, 2 Clown Plecos and 2 Yo-Yo Loaches. I would liek to add a nice colorful friend to the group, I was thinking Gourami? any thoughts or suggestions?

Gourami can be aggressive and might not work well with the tiger barbs. If you decide to try them, I would try dwarf gourami's and get one male and 2 females and have a back up plan if aggression is high, like taking back to the lfs or getting another tank.

With 10 black neons and 5 tiger barbs, it sounds like your mid-water column level is pretty much well stocked. I wouldn't add more personally.

How long is the tank? Is it a 29G long, or high? If it's long, then you could go for a trio of cories to complement your loaches and plecs.
