whos got crayfish?

so one of my crayfish dissapeared for a few days, and when he dissapeared he was very dark red, and when he reapppeared he was the same color as the other one, which is grayish blue, and hes gotten bigger, and is growing in his second claw-(he was wildcaught with one claw, i assume a fight or something). hes actually lighter in color now than the grey blue one is. I assume hes molted but i had no idea they changed color when they did that. anyone else have one that did that?

Yup. they get bigger - that is why they molt. Mine got redder. My other got bluer as she got bigger. has to do with their species as to color. Or perhaps mating prepairedness in some cases.
