Ran across a website where someone had a few photos of their peacock gudgeon...wow, what a stunningly beautiful fish.
Why don't we hear more about these? I have researched them a bit, seems they are fabulously colorful, rather tolerant of a variety of water conditions, and many stay quite small (1-2"), which it seems would make them perfect for many small to medium sized aquariums.
Yet I have never seen one in any of the 6 lfs's I regularly check. Are they ultra-aggressive? Finicky about food? Just plain rare and expensive? Anyone know?
