Will my java moss grow on gravel?

I have a java moss in my old tank, that is growing on a small fishing net, and I wondered if it would grow/spread all over my new tank if I place it on the gravel. Will it only grow on the net?

Usually, if its on a mat, it will. It probably also will on gravel, just not as much and will have to be trimmed over time. Also, Giant moss and flame moss are a bit better for lawn like in my opinion. Just stretch it over the gravel if possible. If not, then i'm not sure. Sorry.

Dont keep it on more then 12hours would be my suggestion.
