Will my shrimp be safe?

Hello,

I have some white cloudy looking stuff coming off my piece of driftwood. Is this dangerous for shrimp or can I still put them in the tank?

This is normal for new driftwood and is not harmful. It should clear up in several weeks. Some people report that their shrimp snacked on the "slime" but mine did not. My ramshorn snails cleaned it all up, though.

Oh sweet! Well the tank is cycled, just need a couple more plants and decos and I'd say we are good to go!
