Is the driftwood fairly new? I had slime form on my wood but it went away after a few weeks

Is it just long white hairs? That's normal for new driftwood. Do u have any algae eaters? Should only last a few weeks and die off and get eaten.

U could always take it out and scrub it off and then boil the wood for 20 minutes if it's bugging you :)
