Wonder if I can add this little guy in my tank.

So my mom got me this gator from India. Made out of wood, but the wood feels like its been "painted" or whatever cause it feels smooth and shiny.. anyone know if I can add this to my tank or how I would make sure this is okay for the tank...

He's very cool. I think there is a sealant you can get that would help. But wouldn't he float?

If it has a water based stain it might leach in to the water.

I was thinking I could tie some sort of heavy object to keep him down. Maybe drill a hole underneath his jaw so I can attach a air stone or some sort there. Can I sand it down to remove the "stain" and cover it with an aquarium sealant?
