Wrong filtration???

I bough this marineland filterpad and some plastic fence to hold it back and for big particles to not go through. But idk if its right or if there's a better way???

As long as it doesnt over flow the box. A coarse sponge and one layer of the fine pad may flow better. That stuff clogs

Might be best to just use simple plastic pot scrubbies. Put as many in that will fit. Don't clean the filter for like 4 months or so when the water flow goes down less than 50%.
