i have 3 neon tetras that when ever i feed them have a hard time not floating to the top of the tank(almost like they are eating air) after about 2 to 4 hours they r fine. and they seem fine no one picks on them but i was wondering if there is something i can do to stop them form having to swim so hard to stay underwater?

Yes, there is something you can do.
You can deliver their food into the water column rather than at the surface.
Do this by either crumbling their flake into your filter outflow, in a cup of tank water, then pour into tank, or by actually handfeeding just beneath the surface, when the food saturates in your fingers then you can simply let go or continue to hand feed.

ok i have tried that... but it doesnt seem to help.... grrrrr... i just hate to see them struggle like they are.. i have tired different foods too

Hey, just introduced neons in my tank, and observed the exact same thing...!
About half of them are struggling with this thing right now, and they seem to be
more bloated than those that are apparently doing okay. I guess I'll be more
careful when feeding them.
