So i found this giant crawling around my small tank.. From my research on worms it apears to be a bristle worm? But what i cant understand that it looks a bit different from the pictures i see online on the bristle worms.
Also, when i took it out of my tank it covered itself with slime..
Can anyone identify this devil and tell me if its aquarium safe and reef safe?

Yes thats a bristle worm, i would wouldnt put it back in, could be a fire bristle though, i would take it out just incase. Hope someone else can come in to clarify for you though. Bristles scavenge for dead fish and other stuff so a good part of CUC

It is a bristle worm and wont hurt anything in your tank. I'd say put it back, but where there is one there are more. Dont get worried about talk of big ones that are tank terrors. They are just over fed monstrosities rather than tank predators.

The yellow and eye spots make me think it is a fulgida worm, a definite predator.
