Try both at the same time. Look into the Tao-Tronic LED panels on ebay

My zoas spread quickly. I'll say give them the strongest current you can until they close.
I mean, keep them in a flow where they'll stay open.


Depends on your parameters and lights for spreading. Like plants, corals grow slower under low lights...

I have a 36 bow too and use the 120 W dimmable LED's. They are more than enough and you will need to slowly ramp up the wattage to get the coral acclimated.
