Compatible tankmates: Very peaceful fish. I would still be cautious when putting them with long-finned fish, but it would probably work if the tetras are in a sufficiently sized school. Otherwise, you can keep them with basically anything, just avoiding super-aggressive fish that will bully or eat the tetras. Neon Tetras, Guppies, and Rasbora would be fine with them.
Recommended tank size: A 20 gallon long would be suitable for a school of 5 or 6 Bloodfin Tetras.

Diet: They will eat practically anything. Flakes, pellets, bloodworms, all fine……..I have even seen them munching on my Hornwort occasionally.
Description: Bloodfin Tetras are very beautiful fish that will really “pop” in planted tanks. Their bodies are a white color with a small hint of blue, and their fins are a bright red, hence the name Bloodfin Tetras.
Behavior: Bloodfin Tetras school a bit more tightly than other tetras, however they do not school quite as tightly like other fish such as Rummynose Tetras. They dwell in the mid region of the tank. They rarely hide, and make excellent dither fish.
Reproduction: Bloodfin Tetras will spawn very easily. They like to scatter their eggs among broad-leaved plants. Females usually release 300-500 eggs each time they spawn. Bloodfin Tetras will eat their eggs, so if fry are intended to be kept, the parents must be removed from the tank after spawning occurs.
