My ammonia for my 55 gallon tank is at. 50 is that bad or do i need to try to get it lower and how thanks

50% water change to get it to 0.25ppm, and you need to find out why it is that high. Ammonia and nitrites should be 0ppm for a fully cycled tank.

what is your tank size?
What fish do you have? And what size?
What type of filtration?

I have a 55 gallon and i have a 200 penguin and a 60 top fin 2 days ago i added 10 more fish just checked it cause i had one die last night and i found it at .50 a second ago i just did a 25% and i was going to see what happend
