i bought a male and female of this cichlid from a friend

The head looks like an Aulounocara.. and if that is the case, the only colouration I can think of is "Lwanda"

BTW if you look at the list of the various forums here, if you scroll down just a little bit further below this one (General Freshwater) you will see there is a whole forum just for cichlids.
You might find more of the true cichlid experts on that one than on the general freshwater forum.
