Hood issue

Lately my room has been humid due to the evaporation. I am trying to find the glass covers for the tank but they just don't fit when the filter is all along the back. Does anybody know any hoods or glass covers that'll cover the space instead of leaving an open gap? Also, would the aquatic lite t5 HO Fresh 30" be good for growing algae and fit on top of the glass cover?

Most glass covers have a plastic strip that you can attach to the glass to cover the whole top of your tank. You can cut the plastic just around your filters or whatever you have sticking out the back and that way your tank is covered almost 100%
