Hi everyone, I bought a 350l Juwel Rio 300 with stand off of ebay for the bargin price of £50. the tank came with 8 Malawi cichlids in it, 3 bags worth of live sand and around 30kg of live rock.

I only wanted the tank really so i am going to sell all the fish and rock/sand but im not sure what the names of the fish are or what there re-sale value would be in the UK.

sorry the pictures arent very good, the fish move so fast and hide alot so was difficult to get good ones!

this one is black with bluish stripes going down him, he is about 8 inches long, he also has 3 lighter coloured circles on his lower fin

this one is very dificult to take pictures of because every time it comes out the black one chases it, so it spends most of its time hiding. it is blue-mauve and has 3 dots on its lower fin, it is around 6 inches

I dunno about the black and blue but the yellows are yellow labs, the orange is a red zebra and the blue is a cobalt zebra. I think that's all of them...?
I don't know what they're worth. You gotta find someone who wants them.
Good luck!

Thanks for your help, I'm down in the south east near Eastbourne.

Can anyone help me with the black one? He has 6 blue stripes down each side, sometimes they seem really blue and go almost all the way down and other times they seem darker and don't go down so far.

i personally looked at it and thought 'thats quite an old bumblebee fish' but thats only cos it looks just like the one in my lfs. the older they get, the darker they become just like that. at that age, about £12 tbh, cos its quite aged x
the cbz and rz would be worth maybe £16-£20 each, the yellow lab about £10. thats what they go for around my area xx

Ah well, funny you should say that about the whole bumble bee thing actually!
When I collected the tank and fish, the previous owner said they called this fish bumble because when they bought it, it was yellow and black!!! So that sounds like you have hit the nail on the head with that one!

Thank you everyone for your help, much appreciated.
