I just recently bought these two firemouths we think it's a male and female but I really don't have anyway of telling because they are young. Is there anything I'm missing?

I recant. They do have red on them. I'm happy either way though, firemouth or convict. they are my first cichlids beyond angelfish. I want to start getting more into them.

Well that's good with me. Its not like I paid extra or anything. It was like $8 for the pair. I hope I have a pair that will breed.

They can have 50+ to 300 babies at once..... You need to plan cuz they will bred once or twice a month

Try 55 gallon nursery... They Breed soooooooo much..... Most of them live.....

I can accommodate that if necessary but they have to make it past this guy first, and he's been chomping our black skirt tetras recently. About 1 every other night or so. Lol
