Hey everyone! Im starting to setup my 37 gallon Lake Tanganyika shell dweller cichlid tank today. I was wondering if any of you had any experience with these little guys if so id love to know some tricks and tips.

Setup:
37 gallon tank (30L x 12D x 26H)
200W heater
75G pro-rated canister filter
LED lights
Cichlid mix sand
Rocks
Lots of shells (not sure exactly the best type yet)
Maybe driftwood with java fern or java moss attached

Let me know what you guys think!

Which shell dwellers are you going with? That is an awesome tank size for them.

Sounds like a great set up for them. I highly recommend searching Amazon for escargot shells unless you want to stay biotope true. That can be really expensive though.

Escargot shells make excellent dwellings for shell dwellers. I've kept n.brevis in the past great little shellie I started with 6 juveniles and soon had a colony of 30.
