triple or double red apistos?

Is there that big of a difference in rarity, breeding, look, aggressiveness, and size? Just wondering thinking about trying a pair in my planted tank to see if I can get them to make babies

Exactly, they are the same species. There is also an orange flash variety available.

i think that triple reds are a little harder to come by, or at least they were when I was briefly shopping around for them.

Yeah, triple reds have red on their anal fin... as in, 3 fins have red. Double reds don't have the red on their anal fin. It's just a different color variation. I think triple reds look a little nicer. They're just a little more expensive it seems.
