I don't know who measures the size of tanks, but I know it's not 12 gallons. I got about 8 gallons in it!

Now, here's my question. I bought LR for it (thinking it was 12 gallons) and got 14 pounds. Is that too much for a 8 gallon tank? Is there room for my 2 small clowns to swim around?

What type of coral can I/should I add?

If you can put the rock in there then its not to much. as long as there is good swimming room.

You can use our calculator to verify the capacity.

Remember tank capacity is rated as if it was totally empty. adding sand and rocks will displace water.

Yeah, that's why I'm so surprised. They must count the compartments on the back in the gallon size, but it would still be less than 12!

I like how it looks, though. I just wished I had planned for it.
