Hermit crabs breeding?

I bought three hermit crabs a while back and have started noticing dead ones. Every week or so i find a dead shelless hermit(small ones). I still have three of them in shells walking around but i keep finding these dead ones. I haven't purchased any live rock or corals that could have had them hitchhiking, help??

Probably molts. How they grow.

you may want to add a few shells a little bigger than the ones there in

The above advice is pretty solid. Breeding hermits in our home systems is far from easy and I have never even seen it occur.

Looking back on it thats probably it. I have lots of shells in the tank and ive seen the biggest one switch a few times. Thank you
