well i am getting ready to make my tank better and ready for more delicate corals compared to my toadstools that i have right now.

so i am going to buy a ro/ di and make alot of water changes over the next month to get my more than 10ppm phosphates down and my nitrate is starting to add up a little from me being green when i started and fed way to much and i also only have ten pounds of live rock and 30 live sand.

so i want to fix the phosphate first using this http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Reef-6-st-125GPD-Reverse-Osmosis-RO-DI-Water-Filter_W0QQitemZ4400970315QQcategoryZ20684QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem:

and would a inline test meter be useful or not nessary: heres the one i would get if its go to have one:

also i have some denitrate but i figure that probably wouldnt do much with the level i have. i figure water change will help with that.i want then after the phosphate are almost gone i will add phosban to keep levels at zero and add 60 lbs live rock that i hope will eventually take the nitrate down to zero, along with the skimmer i have on the tank.

after this i will purchase this for lighting the tank and my tank is a 30 gal
its 36 inch long and 14 tall. i would like to be able to keep anything and i figure i can place a clam at the top since this is pc and mh and think it would do well ?

ok sorry for the long post and some bad grammer but let me know if you think this upgrade is going to work or if you see any holes in my plan on getting my tank balanced out for new corals.
thanks

well the light is PC and not MH. its not both. from the buzz on lighting on these forums, people are going to say get a mh if you want those deleate corals. i persoanlly have no experience with corals or MH lights. so thats all i can tell you ;)

I couldnt get the link to work but if you are talking about the Aqua Safe RO/DI units, then I say go for it. I got my 110 gallon per day unit with reserve tank for 122 shipped. They regularly go for around that and the unit seems to work wonderfully and the water tastes great.
