Anyone dose peroxide

I have started dosing peroxide for green hair algea anyone here do this

I don't really dose but I use it. When I do a water change if there is a rock with a lot of it I will take out the rock pull as much off as I can then I put the rock in the water I took out of the tank with some peroxide and let it set while I do some other things like clean the floss or something. I swish it off in the water then put it back into the tank. I only have a couple of rocks that seem to get algae on them it is like they have something in them maybe some phosphates that leached into the rock or something.
