Calcium and dKH Levels

FWIW anything over ~450 is not necessary or even beneficial. If you are using any additives that contain Ca you may want to decrease the amount some. A good place to be IMO is anywhere between ~375-435 ppm. That will provide Ca for all the animals, etc. that need it, while assuring levels don't get too high or low. It also allows some room for any test kit errors/inaccuracy.
 
What test kit are you using and are you sure it's 4 dKH and not 4 Meq/L?
