Part of my clean up crew that I got as soon as cycle finished ( 18 months ago ) first day it climbed to the top of the tank and has stayed there for a year and a half. Is that normal? Can I move it without hurting it ( lots of tinticals clinging to glass ) I would like to see it moving around the tank more.

Leave it be. Yes, it's normal for some of them to not move for a long, long time.

Wow did you say a year and a half?? Pretty sure it's not cleaning anything up there lol. Does it do anything at all?

My friend had one that camped out on a rock for 4 years. I don't know how it lived, but I tried to pry it loose, and was unable without killing it, so it was definitely alive.
