Cycling 600litre tank

I have added about half a handful of shrimp and it's been in the tank 2 whole days. The ammonia is only 0.3 what should I do? Leave it there? Or should I take it out and add about a handful more?

Just got ordinary sand and a tiny bit of live rock to seed the dried rock. I want 1ppm or more to start the cycle. Thanks for the replies.

How much rock have you got? I have mine running with 1kg per 10litres of water as I haven't got a sump I have a hang on back skimmer. My nitrates peaked at 10ppm and after a few days dropped to 0 where they've been ever since.

I've got 63kg of rock. Only 3kg is live rock the rest is dried. However i plan on putting more in my sump.
