Does size really matter?? Yes it does but heres my question.

I have only 10 large snails and then 20 small snails in a 45 reef. Do I need to get more large snails or are the 20 small able to clean up enough?? The small are the size of of a BB. BTW I also have 2 peppermint shrimp, cleaner shrimp, and a large star to help with clean up...

some snails eat different thing, find out what your snails all eat then you will ahve a better idea if you need more.

What about some small hermit crabs for a little variety?

Is the sand bed dirty? Is there out of control algae growth? If so then I would add more snails. If not then I would say you are ok.
