I converted my tank from CC to DSB about a month ago. Now, my engineer gobies are digging craters in my DSB. I put a nylon mesh screen in my DSB at about 1/2 inch depth to try to thwart their digging. Some of their mounds have buried my liverock. Will this kill my liverock? If they break through the mesh will they destroy my DSB? When my tank was CC they dug all the way to the glass without affecting my water quality.

Thanks,

Van

Yes, most likely any part that is buried long enough will become base rock.

Yes, engineer gobies are not considered DSB friendly.
