Hey folks,
About a week ago I got a tiger mantis shrimp. For the first couple days he hid out most of the time. I put a few snails in the fuge with him and he ignored those. Dropped in some ghost shrimp, don't know if he ate them or not.
Yesterday I dropped a hermit crab in there and a little while later heard him beating on it. I'm guessing he pummeled and ate it since I haven't seen it. For a while, I'm content with feeding him those every couple days (saw somewhere they eat about every 2 or 3 days).
Eventually though, I'm going to have to switch him to some cheaper food. those are $2 each at the LFS, so feeding him would be about $30 a month. What else might I entice him with? i've seen some videos on youtube with people feeding frozen shrimp from long tongs.
