my DT is so clean now, nitrate finally stay at 10ppm in the DT but my refugium started to have the diatom problem LOL. anyway

I didn't feed in the refu, and wonder if I should, since there r some peppers, snails and crabs down there. I also have chaeto and pods.
they seem doing ok, I always see the crabs picking up stuff on my chaeto and I totally not worrying about the shrimps cuz they probably will eat my nass snails >.>

so do you guys feed your refugium as well??

I dont feed mine but I`m sure some of the food gets down there from the overflows. But I never do intentionally feed there. I have a CC star down there.

haha nice~ I should get a star and put it there.
do u have a pre-filter in your overflow?
cuz I have one and it might trapped some food in there.

maybe I should just remove the prefilter XD

It wouldn't hurt. those things end up as nitrate factories if you don't do PM on them regularly.

No prefilter. I use to have another seahorse tank the star was in and when I took it down then I added to my 40 gallon fuge. I would not go get one for the fuge.
