Leaking acrylic tank?

I just set up my first acrylic tank. It is a 60 gallon made by Sea Clear. I noticed around the tank some white powder. I did a taste test and it tastes like salt. I have noticed this build up slowly around the tank. Does it sound like I have a leak. The tank has been up for a little over two weeks. I have noticed any water dripping, but where else could the salt come from?

Unless you find some water leaking from somewhere in the area no, it sounds like saltcreep, which is common.

I talked to Casco this morning and they recommended that I keep an eye on the water level to verify if I have a leak or not. They also think it is salt creep so I will keep an eye on it.
