Power Outage Question.

What do I do if i'm at school when there is a power outage because how long would my 37 gallon be okay for? If I get a power backup and hook it up to a gfci outlet, wouldn't i need to reset the gfci for the backup to run? Or would the battery from the backup work fine? Any reccomandation on a backup that can keep the tank going for a while?

A battery backup will work exactly like you would think it will. It's a battery that'll hold a charge until the power goes out. Longest my tank went without power was 3 days. After that I added battery backups to my system.
