Hello once again. I have been reading conflicting opinions about what kind of sand to use. My LFS wants to sell me 30# of coral sand for $30.00. But, then I read a few things about aragonite sand. Do they both aid in keeping the pH low? Also, would aragonite sand cloud easily?

I'm confused...

Aragonite will cloud the tank when first added, but that should settle in a few days, faster if mechanical filtration is used. Aragonite will help buffer the ph UP to a certain degree, rather than keep it low. IMO, aragonite is the most desirable type of substrate. There are other options for getting it than the LFS, but not sure what those might be in pensecola.
