Reef Safe Puffer?

I have recently started a reef tank, and am looking to add a puffer fish. I do not have corals or invertebrates yet, just a few small fish and LR. I am fascinated by the Valentini puffer, and want to add it. However, I understand that most people warn against puffers and reef tanks. Is there any way I could add a puffer to my tank?

There are no reef safe puffers! Some are better behaved than others, mine leaves most soft corals alone but loves anything else. He also loves inverts, for lunch...
