I'm thoroughly confused after reading some wetwebmedia threads, so I'll ask the experts here...

Is RO/DI water ready to use for start-up (after salt mix) and top offs?

The need to aerate overnight to remove CO2 and buffer prior to mixing salt is mentioned. Previously, I had thought it's good to go for top offs and salt mix takes care of the buffering, but perhaps I'm wrong. TIA.

Yep. For topoffs you dont need to add anything to it. For replacment water after a water change just make sure its the same temp and salinity as the water in the tank. Its always good to airate the water.
