tank upgrade help!!

we are moving a 45gal fowlr tank to a 150gal tank. will the new setup cycle and how long should we wait before the fish are added to the 150 tank

Easy answer is you will need to wait before added new fish. Your current tank has a bacterial population so if your transferring the LR, substrate and water, your not starting from scratch. But there is not enough to handle a 150 gal and you may have some die back during the change.

Throw 2 shrimp in it and wait 2-3 weeks.
