water parameters

Just tested the water. PH 8.4, Nitrite .25, Nitrate 10, Ammonia .50
I guess I overfed this week.
Should I test the water once a week with a 29 gallon tank?

at least

How long has the tank been set up? To generate that much ammonia in an established tank, you would have had to "REALLY" over feed.

What are you using for filtration?

Also...I would suggest doing 10% water changes daily till you get those #s back down.

Squishy,
wouldn't you think he should do a 15-20% daily? I would want to get those numbers down quick.

15-20% would probably do okay. The thing you have to worry about is bringing it down too quickly. There is an old saying "In this hobby, nothing good happens quickly."
