In order to save my fish from an OD of ammonia in my qt tank, I have decided to construct a sump with a rubbermaid container to add water volume.
I need a good overflow box to get the water down to it. My main has built in overflows so I'm not familiar with hang on,s.
Whats a good, cheap one?

I've got one of the 2nd ones scuab_steve posted on my 55. I think the guy selling them makes them himself as the boxes are not 1 piece molded. The quality is good and it works well. And you can't beat the price.

Are they loud?

Interestingly enough, it was silent for about a week. Then it developed the potty flushing sound. So I did the $1 mod (stockman I think) and it's back to being silent.
