The carbon in my tank making it cloudy. I washed it thoroughly. Why would it do this?

Carbon is one thing I have disliked about rinsing. I've rinsed and rinsed, but it always seemed to have residual dust on it. Similar situation I'm sure. My suggestion would be to rinse it double what you did this time around and see if that addresses the problem.

You could try a water clarifier or just wait it out, it will eventually settle down and clear up.

It will go away after a few hours, happens to me too. But its just small amounts of dust from the carbon.

Water clarifiers are crud. This will just gunk up your skimmer and will make for unhappy fish. It will go away on its own.
