I bought two beautifully detailed ceramic sea turtles, about 4 inches a piece. I plan to paint on a coat of aquarium sealant and then use them as decorations in a tank. Is there any alternative to using aquarium sealant for them? I wish I could find some sort of spray that I could use to make them aquarium safe.

if they have non-toxic glaze they are safe, i made a cave for my clawed frog out of clay and lead free glaze and he is still around

I don't beleive there is a spray that I would use of ceramics and put them in an aquarium. I coat all of mine in glazes and underglazes or just leave them plain but acrylics and sprays would not, IMO, be safe for an aquarium. That being said they are all non-toxic so it could be safe, I just would not do it.
