Aquarium Advice FINatic
I have a hair algae problem and I am trying to fix the source but meanwhile am looking for some algae eaters to remove what's there now.
One of my LFS has American Flagfish and a Reticulated Fishnet Flying Fox. I have Qs on both:
American Flagfish - says online they prefer cooler temps 66-72. The LFS says they will adapt to warmer. My tank is currently 78 but I am planning on getting rams at some point so will go up to at least 80. Do you think the flagfish will be ok and adapt if I acclimate well? Or is that too warm?
RFFF - I called asking if they had any SAE's. The LFS tells me the RFFF is the same thing. Hmmm......really? I am looking for fish that can eat BBA and GHA. Anyone know if this is a SAE or if it will eat hair algae the same way?
Thanks!
