Here are Three Actual Vegetables that you could grow in a tank or pond:

Trapa Natans, also known as Water Chestnuts.
Very common in Asian meals. I bet Goldfish and Koi would go for them!
Banned from sale in many states because it is an invasive species known for its aggressive growth habits. (I wanted to grow some in my pond so I could actually eat something from my "Water Garden" but found they are banned in my state.)

Vallisneria Americana is also known as Wild Celery.
In this hobby it's mostly known as Jungle Vallisneria.

Nasturtium Officinale, commonly known as Watercress, is considered a delicacy when young. I think I'll try to find some this coming spring, grow it in my pond.

There ya go, JTK, "veggies" for your fish!
