Can anyone tell me why baby angels are so hard to get going? I have bought 8 a little bigger than a nickel. 4 have passed after about a week and the others are flourishing. I heard that baby black lace veil angels are really hard to start but THOSE are the ones that are really taking off. Is it just a roll of the dice or is their something else to it? Tank parameters are perfect. Water is soft and holding at 6.8. Ammonia and nitrates/nitrites are just right.

Water parameters and the type of food used can impact the growth of baby fish. I use cyclopes
