I have a pouch of rena bio-chem zorb for the rena xp canister filters. I am currently running a flucal 205 canister filter and want to use the bio-chem zorb in it. The only problem is the rena bio-chem comes in a pouch that is designed for the xp filters. I was wondering if it would ok to cut the rena pouch open and then put the bio-chem zorb into a universal filter media pouch that i own that will fit perfectly into my fluval 205 canister? I just dont want to screw things up and end up turning my water black. Any thoughts on this idea?? I have to of the universal filter media bags, I was thinking about double bagging the bio-chem zorb.

I tend to use a universal pouch and fill it with aqua one carbon and ammonia remover, its cheaper than buying pre-made filter cartridges and you can customise it yourself :)
