Cleaning

Do I need to clean my tubing leading to and from my filter? I am running a Nexx with 2 units. They have "stuff" in them. Don't want to be too clean and ruin my BB. Have only had the tank for 5 months and have a lot of learning to do. in advance!

It's not a must, I usually clean the tubing for my filters once every two months. Most of the bacteria lives on the media and or filter pads so cleaning the tubes won't hurt your tank.
