I'm thinking about adding a few invertebrates (snails and/or shrimp) to one of my tanks. Is it recommended to quarantine first?

I'm only concerned because the last time I made a plant purchase at my LFS I transfered ich into one of my tanks (my fault for not quarantining first). Needless to say I'm pretty wary of the store's stock now.

Thanks in advance.(y)

I don't believe it's customary to quarantine inverts, no. I never did with my Red Cherry Shrimp and Nerite Snails and they never introduced any diseases or anything like that into my tank. :)

It can't hurt, they could carry disease. But idk if they can transfer them to fish unless they're eaten

Thanks for the responses! I think I'm probably just more wary of any diseases in the water that's clinging to them when i place them in my tank versus any diseases they may actually have inside of them.
