golden dojo loach losing his color

my loach is starting to get a lighter shade of gold. Should I be concerned? He does have to compete with my other fish for food. Is he not getting enough to eat or is this normal..

My dojo loach has lightened over the time I've had him, not much but slightly. As long as he appears healthy and well fed, I wouldn't be concerned.

I have 2 golden dojo's who have also "lightened" in color over time. Then I moved them from black gravel to white sand and it totally "washed them out", now they look almost white. lol
I agree, I think as long as he is eating and acting normally, I wouldn't be too concerned.
