Goldfish?

I would like to know if mollies and goldfish are compatible in a 20 gallon tank. The type i want is the Common Goldfish that are cheap. So are they?

I think that a 20g is the min for 1 goldfish, and like my sig says...

They are poop machines. I have 6 in a 480 gallon pond with 2 koi and I still have to do lots of PWCs and filter washings.

you seriously think a 7 inch fish is going to have enough room in a 20 gallon tank? even if it did have enough room, chances are it will eat the mollies when it gets big enough. not to mention goldfish prefer cooler temperatures than tropical fish like mollies. granted, they can survive, just not thrive.

No, they are not. Size constraints aside, they prefer decidedly different water conditions. Choose tropical OR cold water and then look at fish choices.
